the moon followed us home
Diva spent some time at a friend's house this evening. When I picked her up, it was already dark out and Diva promptly noticed the moon shining brightly. She seemed to forget about it on the way home, but when we pulled in the driveway and started getting ready to get out of the van, she looked out the van window and commented "Look, Mommy, the moon followed us home!"

For a while my boys would play a game on the way home from church where they would see whose side of the car the moon was. They didn't figure out that it stayed the same every time they played. :~)
I LOVE IT!!!!!!! And I love Sarah's comment! I have a notebook of funny things kids say b/c I can never remember them if I don't write them down. A friend of mine has a notebook as well. I seriously cry when I read it. It helps that she is a great writer so she leads you up to their punchline! Anyway, thanks for sharing your story. I hope to hear more of these!
